Poke me with a stick, I’m done.
I used to be really fat. Not a little, REALLY fat. I know what you’re thinking. Think bigger.
Stories about fat people or fat society or obesity in general always catch my eye. Here’s one I enjoyed: “Researcher Dr Victoria Chan, from Adelaide and Meath Hospital, presented findings to a conference of the Radiological Society of North America that revealed the ineffectiveness of many injections, in terms of delivering medicine, because the needle often cannot penetrate the excess fleshy tissue of obese patients, particularly women.”
Do fatter needles also have to fatter so they can stand the strain of penetrating deeper? How does this affect insurance costs? When I was fat, I remember worrying about the Red Cross blood donation tables. They had a 350lb weight limit. I’m grateful I don’t have to worry about that any more.
