Memorial Day - 2007
A veteran in the the town of Holliston Massachusetts posts signs on the telephone poles honoring soldiers who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan. One sign per telephone pole. One flag per pole from the country for whom they served. I saw US, UK and Canadian flags. It’s a simple and very moving memorial. I considered trying to see all the signs by driving around the town but decided that, considering some of the reasons for being at war, that wasn’t such a good idea.
I don’t know if there are enough poles in Massachusetts to remember all the civilians kills in Iraq.
