Just not right.
My wife’s laser printer/copier/fax/scanner has hit the skids and needs a new imaging drum. Unit cost: $181.00
Brand new laser printer/copierfax/scanner: $148.00

Clearly all the value of the printer is not in its RIP.
The RIP…yeah. OK. I think not. Actually, this Brother printer I have (color, inkjet MFP, network) comes with software that, bought on its own, probably would have cost more then the device. I love scanning to PDF through my autofeeder. Very cool, very cheap, very useful.
