Starter Procrastination-II

Sometimes there is a sign and you just can’t drive by. In this cause, I couldn’t drive at all. I was sitting in my car after stopping at Walgreens for toothpaste and bandaids, trying for 10 minutes to get the darn thing to start.

No Luck.

About 100 yards (or less) in front of me is a Hogan Tire & Auto Service Center. Finally, after living with the problem for about a year, I decided to just get the damn thing fixed. So, after about 12 minutes of trying, the car starts and I pull in to the HT&ASC, leaving the car running, just in case they can’t take it today.

The good news is that they could take it and the cost for the starter is less then half the price quoted by the dealer. So I figured while I’m there I’d get the oil changed, tires balanced, rotated and aligned. All still for less then half of the starter from the dealer.

Fingers crossed it all goes well. I remain optimistic frankly. Yippee!

Yes! The car seems to be fine. One year warranty on the starter too. Good stuff.
